Great beginnings

With a slow start to the week, today was the beginning of a good week!! The wind didn’t make it easy but it was a beautiful day and we had several dozen launches today!!

Mr. Danny had a charter with Capt. Jack Saturday. He couldn’t wait to have the Capt. Jack charter experience, he drove several hours from MS to come to Delacroix for the first time. They caught over 20 Trout and 10 Redfish.

Today, one of our favorite frequent fliers from Georgia, came down for his bimonthly visit to Delacroix. Mr Mark and “his top secret friend” 😉👍brought in 7 Redfish and didn’t let the wind win today. See y’all soon fellas!

BORN TO FISH, forced to work…

That’s why they call it fishing…

Be patient and calm – for no one can catch fish in anger.

Bragging may not bring happiness, but no man having caught a large fish goes home through an alley.

Calling fishing a hobby is like calling brain surgery a job.

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

There are two types of fisherman – those who fish for sport and those who fish for fish.

I had to share some of the sayings I heard this week… I never knew there were so many sayings until I started writing them down…

Now that we are past the bad weather today. Saturday is looking really awesome!!!! Come down to Delacroix and visit us at Sweetwater Marina.

Capt. Jack had a charter today with Mr Al and his wife Jo and Mr David and his daughter Shelly. They had a bit of a late start with this morning’s weather but the day turned out to be amazing. Ms. Shelly killed it today and brought in the biggest catch as well as most of the best fish on the trip today!! 😉👍 Congratulations 🎉🍾🎊🎈Shelly!! Hoping y’all come back soon we enjoyed having y’all at Sweetwater Marina!

Beautiful Liquid Sunshine Day

With all the “beautiful liquid sunshine” we had today at Sweetwater Marina, I had plenty of time to put together this post for y’all. 😉👍 While being confined to my office with winds gusting up to 80 mph.😂

We have some really awesome customers lodging at Sweetwater Marina, and we love when they share their awesome catch pictures with us!

Mr. Al Jones and his wife Jo and his brother David and his brothers Daughter Shelly had a great time yesterday on a charter with Capt. Jack! They brought in 11 Redfish and 5 Trout, and had numerous throw backs of each. They will be heading out again tomorrow and are looking forward to another Capt. Jack charter!

Mr. Regan Wheat had a couple huge catches in the last couple days. His Redfish were real beauties! 🐠

Challenging Day

Today was not an easy one, although today was a beautiful day. The wind was a total work out and challenge. Everyone enjoyed the sunny day and fought the wind, and unfortunately most of the people I spoke to today brought in little to nothing today. You would think the southeast wind would help ‘bring’em” in, but that was not the case today.

Capt. Jack, who can find the fish with out any problem, was having a challenging day today also.

Saturday, Capt. Wayne had a charter with Patricia Elliott and family. They caught their limit of Redfish and had a blast doing it. They enjoyed a night at Sweetwater Marina, after traveling from our next door neighbor of Columbus, MS.

Capt Wayne had a charter today with Travis and Joe , they limited out on Redfish by the pencil and Oak River. The guys are on an adventurous road trip around the U.S. From Colorado to Ohio then MS to LA now on to TX…. have fun fellas 😉👍.

Monster catfish on a beautiful day!!

This was another beautiful day and we had some really good catches today!

Capt. Jack had a charter today with Capt. CT Williams & Jay of Fox 8, along with Tenney Flynn from GW Fins, and Maddie McFarland. They had a blast and caught 23 Redfish in the Lake Batola area, 17 Trout east of Little Lake and the biggest Catfish we have seen in some time. It must have weighed well over 40 lbs.

Jeff and his friend Tim form Ohio, lodged at Sweetwater Marina and had a charter with Capt. Calvin. The fellas loved showing off their Redfish catch!

Johnny Schmidt had a limit of Redfish and threw a bunch back north of Oak River before 11 am.

Ronald and Harvey went to the end of canal by solar panels to catch close to their limit of Trout.

My favorite retired fellas from Columbus, MS. brought in 9 Redfish and a few Trout for their weekly visit to Sweetwater Marina.

Mr. Arthur, Val, and Dave caught the most beautiful Trout. They had 43 huge Trout.

Phillip went to Bakers Bay and caught 5 Drum, 4 Redfish 2 Trout.

***Sorry we are out of live shrimp, hope to get some soon. We do have live minnows.
