The start of a good day!

They had lots of dirty water yesterday. Yet a ton of boats went out this morning. The start of a good day!

Capt. Jack and Kevin Ford, from “Louisiana Outdoor Adventures” and “Kevin Ford’s Fishing Adventures” went looking for the Redfish. They caught 17 trout, 1 Bass, 6 Redfish, and a drum.

Jim 2 & Jim 3 launched at Sweetwater Marina and went for a fishing trip for a few hours. They quickly caught 9 Redfish near the Pencil and Oak River.

Mr and Mrs Presley, lodging with us at Sweetwater Marina this week, had a 2 day limit of Redfish. We enjoyed having y’all. Hope to see y’all soon 😉🎣

Jack & his dad Brent, and Chris had an awesome day lodging and launching from Sweetwater. Little Jack had the best catch picture of the day. 😉👍

Rustin from Outcast brought Lionel fishing and they caught 6 Redfish and a Bass.

Over cast day

It’s was an over cast day, but a few dozen fisherman took advantage of the rising tide. We ran low on live bait this morning (we sold thousands) but we have a fresh load on its way!!

Mr. Jay, his son, and his friend went fishing for a guy’s day out and caught several fresh water Catfish, Drum and Sheepshead

The Sweetwater Seal, went out for a short while this morning to throw a few casts and brought in some nice trout! ✅

This amazed me… this morning I witnessed 3 guys cleaning together, an assembly line of beautiful Redfish cleaning this morning. Nice work guys. 😉👍

Easter Holiday

🦐 WE HAVE PLENTY BEAUTIFUL LIVE SHRIMP! 🦐 We also have plenty dead shrimp!!🦐 We also have plenty minnows!

Hope everyone had a great Easter Holiday weekend. Hope the Easter Bunny was good to you too. It was a beautiful weekend and a good day today also!

Saturday, Capt. Jack had a charter with Kevin B., Todd, Garth, and Kevin. They had to fish with low tide and full moon, which made it a little difficult in the beginning but with a little hard work and perseverance the caught 19 Redfish.

Today, Capt Jack had a charter with Mr. Wilkie and his son’s, Ben, Collin and Brett. They started off with extremely low water this morning and then it came up after 11. They had tons of throw backs, but then brought in 20 Redfish and 3 beautiful flounder (the unicorn of the water)🦄

Mr. Mike and friends had a Sweetwater charter with Capt Matt. He was accompanied by Billy D, Will and Harry. They caught 18 Redfish, 4 Drum and 1 Sheepshead and are looking forward to another trip very soon.

Mr Mark, one of our favorite frequent flyers at Sweetwater, brought in 5 Redfish for his morning boat ride, before 10 am. I still can’t believe he drives all the way from Georgia for his bimonthly visit. See you in a couple weeks. 😉👍 🎣

King & Queen of the 2019 Delacroix Island Blessing

Good Friday!

Today was a little intense, but I am looking forward Good Friday! That will be the start of 5 days straight of perfect weather! Can’t wait!! 😉👍 I know you are making plans to come fishing at Sweetwater Marina. 😊🎣

Capt. Jack had a charter yesterday with Mr. Ryan Pierre, Mike, Jeff, and Brandon. They caught 25 Redfish, 9 Trout, 1 Drum, 1 Crocker, 1 Bass and 1 Catfish. The fellas had a great day and look forward to their next charter.

Greg and the Bayou Plumbing gang, lodged and launched from Sweetwater Marina, along with Mr. Kenny, and his grandson’s Alex, and Tristan. They did pretty awesome yesterday evening, but the boys did pretty good this morning too. They caught many fresh water Catfish, a beautiful Redfish, and 5 drum.

 

Chris, a Kayaker, launched at Sweetwater and brought in a Redfish today.

Tomorrow is going be another beautiful day! You should get down here to Sweetwater. The water is looking awesome. The wind is coming from the right direction. What else do you need? No. I’m not going to catch them for you. 🥴 So get off your couch, you can’t catch a fish from there!

Capt. Jack had a charter today with Mr. George, Kimbo, Zb, and Lonnie. They had a great day limiting out on Redfish and brought in 20 trout, 2 Sheepshead, and 1 drum. This trip was compliments of Mr. George’s daughter, thank you Rebecca. 😉👍

Mr and Mrs Presley caught a limit of Redfish and 3 Trout this morning and brought in even more yesterday. They said the water was a lot clearer today, which made for easier fish finds 😉👍. Thanks for lodging at Sweetwater.

Happy birthday to Mr Jay, he and his wife lodged and launched from Sweetwater Marina, and enjoyed a day of relaxing and fishing. Someone needs to buy his wife a grab-it glove for his wife for “his” birthday. 🎂🤣

Mr Val, Arthur, and Dave fished in Lake Amadee this morning and caught 38 Trout and 7 Drum! These guys know how to fish, and where to get’em. 🤫

Leroy brought in beautiful Redfish from Oak River. Curtis, Calvin, and Donald caught 7 Redfish in Lake Amadee.

Mark, John, and Daniel caught 20 Trout and 8 Redfish in Grand Lake. They have been lodging with us for the last week and we have enjoyed having them here.

Hello Monday! After a roller coaster of a weekend, today was a great day! The best part of today was the arrival of live shrimp!

Josh and Daniel on spring break from college, came down to Sweetwater Marina and just killed it! They fished out of Bay LaFourche and limited out with Redfish and brought in 30 Trout! Sound like the fellas spring break is starting off right!

Phil, Stephen, Jay, James, and Kitoye had a pretty good day today too. They had many Redfish, a few Trout , Bass and Sheepshead. Yes the water might have been dirty, but the fish are here.

Mr. Al sent me a couple pictures to show how the muddy water didn’t stop him either. The winds will be coming out of the ESE and will be clearing up more and more each day this week, so come on down to Sweetwater and get in on the action!

We had a great day at 🎣 Sweetwater Marina! The weather was almost perfect, but the wind made it a tad bit difficult for those who use a trolling motor instead of an anchor. The hotspots are Little Lake and Lake John for Trout and Oak River by the pencil for the beautiful Redfish. Come on down and join on in on the fun. Tomorrow is going to be another beautiful day! ☀️

Mr. Ira ,Jay, Jason, Pearce, Cole, Autry, Lisa, Annabelle, and Misty, the wonderful people from GA. who lodged with us here at Sweetwater Marina, had a great time!! We enjoyed having them here and can’t wait for them all to come back. The highlight of Mr. Ira being here is his awesome shirt selection for his fishing excursions! I got to experience my first Fishouflage shirt!!

Hey! 👋 From all of us at Sweetwater Marina, we would like to apologize for the lack of shrimp today, but we are pleased to say we have plenty live and fresh dead shrimp for tomorrow!!
Tomorrow should be a great day for fishing with the ESE wind we will have,it will bring in clear water which makes for better fishing conditions and the water is at a good level also. 😉👍 So come on down to Sweetwater Marina, see ya in da morning! ☀️

The fellas from New Jersey bought in 8 Trout and a nice Redfish.

Annabelle from GA, who lodged at Sweetwater Marina with her dad, loved sporting her awesome catch. She also was amazed when she hooked a baby alligator, she was happy for daddy to release that one! 🐊
