Tuesday Trout day!

Capt. Jack’s charter today was an early birthday gift for Kiki from Jack’s good friends The Heintz’s. They caught a whopping 73 speckled trout! It wasn’t as hot as it’s been the past few days, so the weather was nice, and it was a great trip!

If you come fishing tomorrow, we have plenty of live shrimp for you!

Make sure to get your drinks and snacks in our bait shop as well.

We have rooms available for Wednesday and Thursday! Give us a call to reserve your room.

Capt. Jack also has a few dates available this month for Charters. Make sure to call us at 504-342-2368 to book a trip.

The Trout are here!

There was great fishing this weekend out at Sweetwater. Lots and lots of redfish came in, and the great news is plenty of speckled trout came in as well!

If you’re interested in catching speckled trout, come on down to Sweetwater and we will let you know where to go and how to catch ‘em.

Capt. Jacks charter on Friday went out and caught 3 trout but had to come in due to the horrible weather. Saturday’s charter fished until about 1:00pm and they caught 50 big beautiful, speckled trout.

Capt. Jack says, “this is the best fishing he’s seen for big, speckled trout in the past 4 years. “

We also have 3 tanks full of beautiful live shrimp! So, if you want to get in on some of this great action come on down and we’ll tell you to where its at. Capt. Jack says this is (almost) like the old days! Try to get here as soon as you can to get on this great fishing. There’s good tide range this week. It will be hot but only forecasted to have some light rain here and there.

Capt. Jack recommends bringing an extra angler on your boat to help split up the cost of fuel.

We have boat sheds available for $150 a month and include water, electricity, and boat launches.

There is lodging available as well. Our 1 bedroom is $159.68 a night and our 2 bedroom and trailers are $212.90 a night.

Thursday Run down!

We apologize about the lack of fishing reports from Capt Jack, but here is the run down.

Last Saturday Capt Jack fished with some great people that lived his old neighborhood where his mom and dad lived. It turned out to be probably the worst trip he’s ever had fishing in Delacroix. They ended up catching 1 redfish , missing 3 other redfish, and missing 4 speckled trout!

On Monday he some people from Albany Georgia. Their dream was to catch bull reds, the wind was blowing 25mph, so they really couldn’t go out to specifically target bull reds. So they went inside and caught 6 redfish and threw back 5-6 beautiful red fish. Then Capt Jack took them trout fishing and ended up catching 21 trout!

On Tuesday Capt Jack took C.T. fishing. They had a great day and caught a bunch of beautiful, speckled trout! Make sure to watch them on the fishing report on Fox News 8, tonight at 9pm.

Yesterday and today he took out a group from Daphne Alabama, they caught 41 speckled trout yesterday and 100 trout today. They used live shrimp and matrix shad avocado.

We apologize about not having a lot of shrimp for everyone in the bait shop. They haven’t been able to catch any shrimp on this side at all. They’ll be going out tonight in another
area to try and stock up for tomorrow.

We have boat sheds for rent for $150 a month. It includes free boat launches, water, and electricity.

There are Charter dates available during the weekdays and some weekends for this month, make sure to call at
