Rowhos AKA Redfish

Captain Jack went for a different species today. He switched up today and went redfishing. He took two of his good buddies, Dr. Jimmy Heintz & Dr. Jonathan Heintz. Dr. Jimmy loves to catch his “rowhos,” which is what he calls redfish. They caught their limit of rowhos. They only fished three spots, and they caught reds in all three spots. It was a great day for redfishing. It has been a little while since Captain Jack last went redfishing, and he is glad it was a success. The trout have been biting pretty good, and now the reds have been biting too. So..if you are looking to come fishing, COME NOW! We can’t wait to see you here at Sweetwater Marina. The next two days are looking like great weather, before the artic blast comes through-Saturday night! Come get in on the action, before that happens. We will have live shrimp. We have some lodging available, as well as open charter dates. Book your room and/or charter today! We would love to see you. Happy New Year! Cheers to new fishing adventures!

Sorry we didn’t get to post HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of our great customers! Hope you year is filled with lots of trips to Sweetwater! 😉 Today has been a dreary day down at the marina. We had about 8 brave souls launch today. We know a couple of them caught bass and reds. The weather is supposed to get better starting tomorrow. The weather should be warming up. Even though the weather channel is always unpredictable, I would still advise watching it before making a trip. Captain Jack says the fish should bite this weekend. The water is still clean due to Southeast winds. There are lots of bass right now. Reds are biting great, as well. However, the trout are kind of hit or miss but decent. Captain Jack recommends fishing out of the wind in Fourhorse, if you get the chance to come on down. We do have lodging available for this weekend, so call 504-342-2368 if you would like to book a room. Captain Jack has some dates for fishing available. He is great with everyone, will put you on the fish & make you laugh. You will have a GREAT time! Hopefully, we get to see you all in 2020! Ya know we can’t wait to see ya here at Sweetwater Marina!
