Monday Run down

Date: May 23, 2022

Capt Jack had a charter last Tuesday with Kenney Grounds and his friend Derrick, and they got 11 redfish. They fished that afternoon and caught their last 4 and ended up with a total of 15 for the day. The next day they switched gears and went trout fishing and got 8 nice, speckled trout. For a solid 20 minutes they were catching them and then it completely stopped. It was fast and Furious to completely dead so they went red fishing and got 4.

Capt Jack had some from friends from Florida come in for a 3 day charter. They caught 9 red fish Thursday, 14 Friday, and Saturday  Capt Jack went on a tip and they caught 1 redfish but then he decided to go back to his regular spot and they caught 6 more redfish. They missed another 6-8 that got off the hook. It’s nice to try something different sometimes.

We do have one of the other charter Captains available for a charter on Saturday if you’d like to book with him. Capt Jack also has some openings coming up in the next month.

We have boat storage available as well. They are partially enclosed, and it includes free boat launches, water, and electricity.

There are plenty of rooms availability for lodging this week as well. The weekend is almost full so make sure to give us a call at 504-342-2368 to book your lodging and charters.

Our office is open Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
Ritchie will be back firing the grill up this week starting
Thursday May 26th, so come hungry!

We want to apologize about the inconvenience with not having Live shrimp. We are trying but sometimes nature has a mind of her own! Friday and Saturday night they had with no luck. They will be out again this week so that the tanks will be nice and filled up for the weekend. We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience. The weather reports for today were sounding bad so they will go out first things tomorrow morning.

As always, we can’t wait to see ya at Sweetwater Marina!
