Windy day, with success!

Today was a beautiful, yet slightly windy day, here in Delacroix. We got our card machines working again. Everyone that had cancellations due to the storm, will receive a refund tomorrow! & We do have live bait!
Today, we had a few customers come in with nice numbers of speckled trout & a few with some mixed ice chest of Specks, reds and bass! Overall, an amazing day and some happy customers at Sweetwater, even with the wind!

Sexy every time fishing

Captain Jack went out today with his buddy Wesley! Wesley owns S.E.T mobile home movers. He has helped us out so much by moving our mobile homes 3 times this year& multiple times last year..such a great guy!..& then he successfully flipped over our mobile home that flipped over with the hurricane. Trust me, when he moves a trailer it’s sexy every time (S.E.T)! They went out today and caught their limit of reds and a few specks. They went red fishing first, today & then trout fished for a little bit. They had a wonderful time. Yesterday & today was, overall, some really good fishing. Winter time fishing is on in Delacroix. It seems like the trout are getting bigger and more plentiful each week! They have been hitting the tables hard this weekend, with trout. Duck hunting open tomorrow/ specks on fire


Remember guys- CASH ONLY right now! So bring your cash tomorrow! Great day of fishing for Captain Jack out of Sweetwater. Overall, a good day for everyone that fished out of Sweetwater today! On Captain Jacks charter today they brought in 71 specks and 6 redfish. They threw  back “like ten thousand specks today.” Tomorrow is opening day for duck hunting. We have lots of people saying they have seen lots of ducks here in Delacroix. If you like to fish for specks or want to go duck hunting, come on down. We will have plenty of live shrimp tomorrow! We definitely appreciate everyone who has supported us all these years & to all of our loyal customers! We are working hard to get everything set back up, so we can accept cards again,!etc..we will come back even better! Trout fishing is on in Delacroix!

Some great, great fishing the last few days. They have been catching limits of beautiful redfish. On Tuesday, Captain Jack and his charter brought in 20 beautiful reds& released around 10 big reds. He took the same group out Wednesday morning and caught 42 trout and their limit of reds. Wednesday evening Captain Jack took out his Mr. Charlie Duran and caught 38 specks. This morning, he took out Mr. Charlie Duran, Mr. Kim and Mr. Rusty, and they caught 28 specks & their limit of big, fat beautiful reds! Tomorrow Captain Jack will be taking out Charlie and his buddies again…they will be fishing for specks in the morning and reds after. Now to the good news, if you like to catch speckled trout, it’s time to come to Delacroix! If you are a trout fisherman, they are catching them everywhere. Pointe Fienne, Batola, Skippy are all great spots. A limit came in from Bay Lori. The hottest spots are Lake John area, Shell Lake, Shrimp lagoon, Fourhorse, Potto Cabalo, Round lake & Bay Shallow. In other news, the credit card machine is still not hooked back up yet, so please bare with us…CASH ONLY ! We have live shrimp & the shrimper will be going back out in the am to get us some more, so that we stay stocked for the weekend! We hope to see you tomorrow for a great day of fishing! Hurricane zeta couldn’t stop us! Open & live shrimp pippin! CASH ONLY!

Hey guys! We are open & have LIVE SHRIMP! 5am-5pm! Come down for some weekend fishing! It was a great day of fishing out of Sweetwater today. Lots of customers came in with speckled trout! Jacks buddy, Henry, had 42 today. Captain Jack was impressed, because there was some wind today. Redfish are biting great, as well. Today, Captain Jack & his charter caught 25 reds, 3-4 big fresh water cats, a bunch of throw back reds & a few releases. It was a successful day!

Tomorrow should be even better, because WE HAVE LIVE SHRIMP! Also, it will be CASH ONLY! The tanks are loaded down & ready for the weekend! We hope to see you here at Sweetwater Marina!

Louisiana Wirless 11 boat charter!

We want to thank Louisiana Wireless and all the other companies they worked with to fish with us! Thank you for choosing Sweetwater to get you set up with 11 amazing captains! We hope you all had a great time today, & we hope to see you again next year! Also, thank you to all 11 captains we had go out today! They all caught a great amount of fish, most limiting out! We had SOME FISH hit the tables today! So, thank you Capt. Jack, Capt. Chris, Capt. Calvin, Capt. Corey, Capt. Joe, Capt. Alan, Capt. John, Capt. Anthony, Capt. Seth, Capt. Jason & Capt. Tony ! It was fun for all..each boat played a little game & kept score to see who caught the most fish, biggest red, biggest trout, etc!

In other news, we have power! We will be open tomorrow! CASH ONLY! We will be doing boat launches & we have tackle & drinks! The fuel may be set up by tomorrow morning! Hoping to have live shrimp tomorrow- but will not be until the evening! The shrimp boat will be going out tomorrow morning. So, we should be stocked for Saturday! I will post a pic of our live shrimp, as soon as they hit the tanks tomorrow!

With the Hurricane, the people staying in the rooms weren’t sure if we would be set up for the weekend! We were completely booked, but, unfortunately, most made other plans to have to stay elsewhere. However, the power came on, the rooms have been freshly cleaned, so if you need a room for this weekend- call 504-342-2368 to book one! We would love to have you! Rooms 1-4 are rentable & the white trailer. We have a couple openings for this weekend…COME DOWN & LODGE WITH US & FISH- come spend tomorrow night & fish Saturday (we will have live shrimp for you) !

Captain Jack had a charter with 2 sets of father and son on Saturday & Sunday. One set was from Atlanta & the other from Houston. The two fathers, Billy and John, are old buds. They haven’t gotten together in 15 years. Well, they made it happen here at Sweetwater Marina! Memories of a lifetime made here at Sweetwater, between 2 buds & their sons. We are happy to have helped in making this happen. Captain Jack had the pleasure of fishing with them in the morning & evening on Saturday and Sunday morning. They caught over 75 reds in the 2 days of fishing and a bunch of other fish that were thrown back. It was a successful trip for both sets of father/son! They flew down from Houston & Atlanta, so y’all don’t be scared to fly. It was an hour flight for each. If you are looking to make your own memories out on the water, call us here at Sweetwater 504-342-2368. We would love to get you set up on a trip of a lifetime. Be like Billy & John..gather up your old buds & come on down. My advice: gather your family and friends & book your trip!
